We are on a mission of helping as many students as possible learn the Arabic language in the most optimal way, leveraging all available resources. We’ve started on this mission a bit differently to most other arabic learning websites – see how we work.
Based in Egypt, we are currently offering the following courses in Arabic:
Classical Arabic (Fusha)
This is the authentic Arabic language and the language of the holy Quran. Classical or ‘Quranic’ Arabic is great for students whose primary goal is to learn to read, understand and study the Quran and other Islamic texts. There are different routes to learning so find out which is recommended for you.
Modern Standard Arabic
Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is very similar to classical (or Quranic) Arabic but is more common for spoken Arabic. Today, it is the most widely used version of Arabic in Arabic speaking countries and uses new, modern words and phrases that didn’t exist back when the Quran was written.
Egyptian Colloquial Arabic
The Egyptian dialect is the most popular and widely used dialect and why we offer it as a standalone course. It is very useful for getting on with daily life activities and interacting with people across the Arab world. With our Egyptian teachers you’ll be talking like a local fast.
The courses above require basic understanding of the Arabic letters and the ability to read basic sentences. If you are a complete beginner we’ve built a separate course based on Noorani Qaida – this brilliant book is designed to educate Muslim kids and adults who don’t speak Arabic to correctly read Quranic Arabic, and therefore a great starting point.
